What should I do if my appliance is out of warranty?

Call our service centre and discuss with us the fault you have with your appliance. We will advise you of our labour charge and terms and conditions. We will arrange a mutually convenient date to come and attend to your appliance.

Does the engineer fully test my appliance?

For your safety and piece of mind, we will carry out a 3 point test: earth loop, insulation resistance and earth continuity. We check that the electrical supply into your appliance and the appliance itself, is safe to use.

What if my appliance requires parts?

We only use manufacturer supplied and approved parts. We will never fit a part without advising you the cost. If we have the part on our service vehicle, we can fit it for you there and then. If we have to order a part, we will advise you of the cost. You will not be charged a second labour fee.

Will you take old parts away?

APP Electrical Services are not licensed for waste disposal. We would recommend you dispose of the old parts in your recycling bin.

How do I pay?

We can only accept credit card or cash payment, payable to the engineer at the time of his first visit. We no longer accept cheques as payment. If we have to order parts, we must ask for payment before we order as they are non returnable. Credit card payments are fully secure the engineer will call our main office and make the payment on your behalf whilst you are in attendance.

What if my appliance cannot be repaired?

Occasionally we do encounter appliances that for whatever reason cannot be repaired. This may be because the appliance has reached the end of it's working life, or it is simply not economically worth repairing. Our engineer will advise why your appliance is not economically viable to repair.

I think I can fix the machine myself can I just order the parts?

We do not sell parts to the general public to fit yourself. We could not guarantee the integrity of the repair.

We can help put you in touch with retailers who supply spares.
