About Us

APP Electrical Services was established in 1997 as an independent specialist repairer of domestic appliances. Initially we were a sole trader, with Tony Preece servicing refrigeration, laundry and cooking appliances. Within a year, two further engineers had joined and the foundations for the company were laid.

The company quickly established a reputation for quality repairs at reasonable prices. Whilst initially working directly with domestic customers, APP soon attracted the attention of manufacturers who required independent companies to service their warranty repairs.

APP started servicing appliances for Smeg in 1998 and Liebherr in 2001. We became main service agents for Rangemaster in 2005, Samsung in 2007, Beko in 2008, Amica in 2011, Hoover Candy in 2012 and Caple in 2013. We are proud to still represent all these brands today. As an independent company we can also service and repair just about any make and model of domestic appliance which we also do for insurance companies and service providers. Our company originally serviced NG postcodes. As our reputation grew, so did our service area. We now fully service the NG, LN and LE postcode areas, as well as the majority of B and CV, with selected PE and DE postcodes. Please visit our Areas Covered to see if we can be of assistance to you.

Due to our continuous controlled expansion, the company moved to a purpose built building in 2009. As well as modern offices, we have full warehousing and training facilities at our disposal. All of our staff have a high degree of knowledge and understanding of domestic appliances. We can often provide valuable advice and instruction to you on the telephone. Our central location means we can easily provide a local service to all our customers. Our communication is friendly, quick and is based around managing your custom.

All of our engineers pass through our own training programme and those initiated by the manufacturers we work for. Our senior engineers are fully qualified refrigeration systems engineers, as well as being Gas Safe certified. We have an extensive knowledge management system within the company that collects and shares information to drive our training programmes. This ensures that all our engineers are kept fully up to date with the latest developments in appliance technology and problem solving. This allows us to provide the consistently high standard and quality of service you expect.

Our engineers have excellent soft skills they will explain to you what is happening with your appliance and how we will fix it. We want you to have the confidence in us to use our services, so if you have any queries, you can ask the engineer or call our office in confidence. All of our engineers and staff are employed directly by APP, we do not subcontract work to other companies. When you request an APP engineer, you can be assured they are trained, competent and capable of tackling any issues you have with your appliance, backed up by the knowledge and skill learned in nearly twenty years of trading.

Where appropriate, APP takes full advantage of the advances in technology. All of our engineers have remote access to our information systems so jobs can be updated in real time. If required, we can order parts for you appliance the same day, so the disruption to your lifestyle is kept to a minimum.

We also never forget the value of good communication any queries, issues or otherwise you may have are only a phone call away. We donít have a call centre you will deal directly with someone who knows and understands your appliance and will be treated with the courtesy and respect a valued customer should be.

APP Electrical Services are members of the Domestic Appliance Service Association (DASA). Our mutual aim is to improve the service quality to our customers
